An Adventurer’s Hymnal, vol. 1

This album is my first attempt at writing arrangements of well known and beloved hymns with a modern feel. I took heavy inspiration from soundtracks such as How To Train Your Dragon and other Disney/Dreamworks movies. I wanted to provide a strong cinematic fantasy feel while also keeping the Celtic folk aspect alive and well. Because of their reputation, I needed to keep each song’s melody a strong focal point. I love themes and variations, so it was fun experimenting with all the possibilities these old tunes gave me. I plan on releasing multiple volumes in the future, so I hope you enjoy!
